First Paper accepted!

Frontiers Rotor Localization and Phase Mapping

Today our first paper was accepted for publication in Frontiers in Physiology! Congratulations and big thank you to Jan Lebert and Namita Ravi who did this work as part of their PhD-thesis and Sarnoff research year! We demonstrate that deep learning can be used to predict phase maps and phase singularities of cardiac excitation waves. We applied the technique to voltage-sensitive optical mapping and simulated data of ventricular fibrillation. The paper appears in the section 'Cardiac Electrophysiology' within the Research Topic 'Nonlinear Analysis and Machine Learning in Cardiology'. A preprint can be found here.
